As a rule I post to a handful of friends any postcards that arrive from ebay each day. I call these posts 'AT MY DESK' and date them accordingly. Ongoing themes include Hollywood glamour and the great stars, 20's stars, flappers, linen postcards of New York, Deco styles, amusement parks, arcade cards, nightclubs, interiors. I have several stars I collect on, and different types of postcards I like, mostly 'Ross' verlag, 'Iris' verlag, Picturegoer, real photo, and fan cards from the studios. Postcards of Josephine Baker, Louise Brooks, Anna May Wong and others get the best prices, followed by Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Shirley Temple, Valentino, Ramon Novarro and Brigitte Helm. Anything signed is always more valuable.
